Hey there, sorry for being such a bad blogger, I was so busy lately, actually I'm still busy hehe. But hey I'm (kinda) back to talk to you about my last little trip to Scotland. I just needed some time in a beautiful place and fresh air to clear my head.
 Anyway, I've been in the UK many times but never to Scotland, and I have to say, the scottish landscapes are fabulous : fairly diverse, with mountains, bogs, countless coastal islands, sea-side cliffs, and the occasional forest.
uhm anyway, for those who are not native English speaker, the scottish accent is actually not that difficult to understand, but you definitely have to be a bit concentrated :p

DAY 1 : Paris -> Glasgow -> Dundee

DAY 2 : Dundee -> Edinburgh -> Stirling -> Loch Lomond
We first saw the Stirling Castle, and also the Doune Castle, which is an hour from Edinburgh. Then, we traverse the Highland Boundary Fault and arrived at Balmaha, Loch Lomond, we took there a nature walk, culminating in a superb Highland viewpoint and we saw the Scotland’s largest lake and the Arrochar Alps mountain range. It was breathtaking. We finish the day at Glengoyne Distillery, situated in a wooded valley in the southern Highlands.  We toured this beautifully located distillery and sample the delicious 12 year old product:)

DAY 3 : Edinburgh
We walked around, got breakfast and went to the Edinburgh Castle,
then we went back to Dundee, and got a party at my friend's place :)

DAY 4 : Dundee
Just chilling and resting at

DAY 5 : Dundee
Brunch, and visit of Dundee
besides the Doune Castle in Stirling made an appearance for the pilot episode of GAME OF THRONES, it was used for some exterior shots and the great feast held when King Robert Baratheon and his party arrive. It's crazy, right ? :)

University of Dundee
Couscous revisited
Glengoyne distillery :  We saw where the magic of maturation takes place, how whisky ages – from the difference the wood makes, to how the spirit deepens in colour over the years.
